Industrial Control Systems (ICS) are crucial for the smooth functioning of a nation, as they support critical infrastructure systems that keep essential services operational. Many of our organizational processes and systems rely on the effective functioning of ICS. For example, the National Water Commission (NWC) uses SCADA systems to monitor and control water distribution, minimizing the need for manual inspections and enhancing service delivery. As infrastructure continues to evolve, almost all industries are becoming more reliant on ICS to maintain consistent and efficient operations.

The CIRT division is committed to safeguarding network infrastructure that depends on ICS from cyber threats. Protecting the nation’s ICS is a top priority, and achieving this goal will require collaboration among all relevant stakeholders. The CIRT is responsible for ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to secure these systems from attacks, and that measures are in place to minimize downtime and maintain ongoing service delivery in the event of a breach.
