Overview

Partnerships and collaboration are critical for the effective functioning of a Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT) and for ensuring a country's cyber resilience in an expanding threat landscape. By utilizing the collective strengths of various stakeholders, collaboration fosters a unified defense system that responds to threats in real time. It facilitates the sharing of resources, expertise, and threat intelligence, which strengthens the overall cybersecurity posture.

Additionally, collaboration between the public and private sectors fosters healthy and trustworthy partnerships, ensuring better protection of critical infrastructure and data. Public awareness and policy advocacy are also vital outcomes of such partnerships. The public forms the backbone of a country, and it is crucial for citizens to stay informed about the cyber threats facing the nation and how they can protect themselves. Regarding policy advocacy, well-crafted policies and legislation are essential for enforcing cybersecurity measures across organizations, ensuring the protection of personal data and maintaining overall national security.

CIRT’s Role

The Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT) actively engages in regional and international cybersecurity partnerships to enhance its ability to combat cyber threats. The team collaborates regionally with organizations such as the CTOC, JDF, and JCF in tabletop exercises and cybersecurity session.

In 2025, a project involving multiple stakeholders from both the public and private sectors was launched. The aim of this collaboration was to strengthen the cybersecurity framework by sharing cyber information and working together on joint efforts. This initiative is designed to enhance security, improve awareness of potential threats, and boost the ability to respond to cyber incidents.

On the international front, the CIRT division consistently participate in cybersecurity drills and tabletop exercises (TTX).
